Mumbai, April 24 (NationPress) LIC of India declared on Thursday its unwavering commitment to assist the victims of the tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. The company will fast-track the processing of claims to deliver essential financial support.

In a statement, LIC of India expressed profound sorrow over the loss of innocent lives during the attack that occurred on April 22.

The announcement clarified that instead of requiring death certificates, any documentation from government sources confirming the death of the policyholder due to this terrorist incident or any compensation disbursed by the Central or state governments will be accepted as valid proof of death.

“We are dedicated to ensuring that all claimants are contacted and that their claims are settled promptly for the families affected,” stated LIC Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Siddharta Mohanty.

The notice also encouraged claimants to reach out to their nearest LIC offices or Customer Zones for additional support. They can also call the customer service center at 022 68276827.

In a related note, on the same day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a rally in Bihar, affirmed that India would “identify, track, and punish every terrorist and their supporters beyond their imagination.”

Referring to the heinous attack in Pahalgam's Baisaran on April 22, which resulted in the deaths of at least 26 individuals, PM Modi asserted: “I assure the world that India will pursue every terrorist and their backers, leaving no stone unturned.”

“The essence of India shall never be shattered by terrorism. Such acts will not go unpunished,” he reiterated.
