New Delhi, Feb 4 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized on Tuesday that his administration has continuously aimed at improving the quality of life for citizens and boosting their economic strength. This stands in stark contrast to previous governments that prioritized personal enrichment and allowed corruption to flourish unchecked.

In response to the Motion of Thanks regarding the President's address, PM Modi highlighted several community-centered initiatives and programs designed to effectively utilize the nation's resources. He stated that his government invested public funds into nation-building rather than constructing a 'Sheeshmahal', a lavish residence allegedly funded by taxpayer money for former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

He remarked, 'Previously, media outlets were inundated with reports of scandals and graft. Over the past decade, we have saved billions that have been redirected for public benefit. We have not squandered this money on a 'Sheeshmahal'; instead, we have focused on nation-building.' This comment prompted enthusiastic applause from members of the treasury bench.

The Prime Minister also took a jab at a previous Congress Prime Minister, ridiculing his fixation on being labeled as ‘Mr. Clean’.

He stated, 'A previous Prime Minister claimed that when ₹1 was dispatched from Delhi, only 15 paise reached the grassroots. It’s evident who was pocketing the remaining 85 paise.' He was alluding to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

PM Modi stressed that his government is dedicated to finding effective solutions rather than allowing issues to persist for years.

“Our approach is 'Bhachat bhi Vikas bhi', and 'Janata ka paisa janata ke liye,” he declared.

While discussing various initiatives such as the JAM Trinity, PM Modi elaborated on ethanol as an alternative fuel, noting these projects have generated substantial revenue.

“Through the Jan Aushadi Kendra, we offer an 80% discount on medications, resulting in savings of around ₹30,000 crore for beneficiaries,” PM Modi highlighted.

“Our commitment to promoting LED bulbs has led to their prices dropping from ₹400 to ₹40. Citizens have saved an impressive ₹20,000 due to this initiative,” the Prime Minister noted.

Additionally, he referenced a UNICEF survey indicating that families participating in sanitation initiatives have saved ₹70,000 each annually.
