New Delhi, Jan 20 (NationPress) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday referred to NCC cadets as national assets and urged them to diligently work towards realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Speaking to the cadets during his visit to the NCC Republic Day Camp at Delhi Cantonment, the Defence Minister remarked that cadets, regardless of their career paths, play a vital role in nation-building through their qualities of leadership, discipline, ambition, and patriotism.
“Prime Minister Modi has pledged to transform India into a developed nation by 2047. Having been an NCC cadet himself, it is now the utmost responsibility of all cadets to realize this dream,” stated Rajnath Singh.
The Defence Minister explained that Viksit Bharat signifies not just the development of land, but the progress of 140 crore Indians who coexist harmoniously despite their social and cultural differences.
“We must also contribute positively to society, and soon, India will emerge as a developed nation,” added Rajnath Singh.
He praised the cadets for their dedication, discipline, and love for the nation.
He emphasized that the achievements of India as a nation are the result of collective effort, particularly from the youth. “Each time I meet NCC cadets, I don’t merely see cadets. I see the essence of India—diverse in many ways but unified in spirit. These cadets, coming from various regions, speaking different languages, and following unique customs, share a common thread of unity,” he continued.
Rajnath Singh noted that many nations gained independence around the same time as India. “Nations that embraced the values of discipline, integrity, and national unity are progressing, while those that did not are facing turmoil,” he said, commending the NCC for instilling these essential qualities in individuals.
