New Delhi, Dec 22 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to distribute over 71,000 appointment letters to newly appointed recruits on Monday (December 23). The event is scheduled to commence at approximately 10:30 a.m. via video conferencing, during which he will also address the attendees.

The Rozgar Mela will take place at 45 different locations nationwide, with recruitments spanning various Ministries and Departments of the Central government.

The selected recruits, hailing from all across the country, will be joining numerous Ministries and Departments, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and Department of Financial Services, among others.

A government media release states that the Rozgar Mela represents a significant step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister's commitment to prioritizing employment generation. This initiative aims to provide essential opportunities for the youth to engage in nation-building and empower themselves.

Previously, on October 29, PM Modi addressed a similar Rozgar Mela, where he distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly appointed youths in government departments and organizations through videoconferencing. This event underscores the Prime Minister’s dedication to employment generation, empowering the youth with valuable opportunities to contribute to the nation's progress, as stated in the official release.

During the event, the Prime Minister noted that 51,000 youth were receiving their recruitment letters for government positions. He reiterated the government’s pledge to ensure that the youth of the country have access to maximum employment.

Highlighting the significant impact of government policies and decisions on job creation, PM Modi discussed the development of expressways, highways, roads, railways, ports, airports, fiber cable installation, mobile tower establishment, and the expansion of new industries throughout the nation. He also mentioned the laying of water and gas pipelines, and the establishment of new schools, colleges, and universities, all contributing to lowering logistics costs through infrastructure investment. PM Modi emphasized that these efforts not only benefit citizens but also create new job opportunities.

The first phase of the Rozgar Mela was launched by PM Modi in October 2022, during which over 75,000 appointment letters were distributed to newly appointed recruits.

The recruitment process is carried out by Central Ministries and Departments directly, as well as through recruitment agencies like UPSC, SSC, and the Railway Recruitment Board. The selection procedure has been streamlined and made technically efficient to enable faster recruitment.
