Patna, Feb 21 (NationPress) Following accusations by former Union Minister R.K. Singh that senior members within his party plotted against him during the Lok Sabha elections, Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in Bihar, asserted that the BJP is fragmented within the state, indicating a significant rift among its leaders.
“The situation surrounding R.K. Singh is an internal issue for the BJP, so I prefer not to comment extensively. Nevertheless, the reality on the ground reveals a lack of coordination among BJP leaders. Even the allied parties seem to lack trust in one another,” Yadav commented.
He pointed out the internal strife in the BJP, citing R.K. Singh's claims of conspiracies within the party aimed at sabotaging his electoral chances.
Yadav referenced a recent clash involving a Janata Dal (United) MLA, Sanjeev Kumar, and a Lok Janshakti Party MP, Rajesh Verma, in Khagaria as indicative of the discord among NDA partners.
“Their attention seems to be on internal negotiations rather than the well-being of the public. Bihar suffers from low literacy and employment rates, yet their focus remains on deals and negotiations. The long-standing leadership of the NDA has not produced any substantial progress,” he stated.
Yadav drew a parallel, saying, “While vehicles over 15 years old are labeled unfit due to pollution, those in power for two decades have not propelled the state's development.”
He also criticized the central government for overlooking Bihar in the latest budget, suggesting inadequate financial support for the state.
As the Bihar Assembly elections approach, he expressed optimism that, unlike the previous elections where his party narrowly lost, the voters are now ready to usher in a new government.
In response to comments from BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal regarding Chief Minister Nitish Kumar receiving 'Devi Shakti's' blessings, Yadav reminded that the same Kumar has previously criticized the BJP.
These remarks highlight Yadav's continuous efforts to challenge the current government and position his party as a credible alternative ahead of the elections.
