Participants aged 20 and above are tasked with creating reels based on two themes: 'Viksit Bharat', which highlights India's technological and infrastructural progress, and 'India @2047', envisioning the country's future growth.
These short films, ranging from 30 to 60 seconds, provide creators a platform to showcase India's advancements through their narrative skills.
The champions of the challenge will be awarded unique opportunities, including a ticket to a Meta-hosted event and a specialized reels masterclass in 2025.
Additionally, they will receive an all-expenses-paid pass to WAVES 2025, where they will be celebrated for their creative achievements.
Furthermore, the Ministry will assist finalists in entering international content creation contests.
The winning reels will be showcased in the WAVES Hall of Fame, on the official WAVES website, and across various social media platforms.
Registrations for the 'Reel Making' contest will remain open until March 15, 2025.
Inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, WAVES 2025 strives to establish India's presence on the global stage in media, entertainment, and content creation.
