Lucknow, Feb 21 (NationPress) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday instructed officials to guarantee that the forthcoming festivals, including Holi, Shab-e-Barat, Ramzan, Navroz, Chaitra Navratri, and Ram Navami, are celebrated peacefully with adequate security measures in place.
The Chief Minister emphasized that over the past eight years, festivals representing all religions and communities have been celebrated without incident in the state, and this spirit of harmony must be preserved moving forward.
He urged officials to remain especially alert and cautious during Holi, which is set to take place on March 14 (Friday), as stated in an official release.
Addressing concerns related to law and order, Adityanath pointed out that Holika Dahan on March 13, followed by prayers and Holi the next day, constitutes a sensitive timeframe.
He cautioned that "troublemakers" might attempt to incite unrest and mandated strict monitoring to avert any negative incidents.
Furthermore, he instructed officials to identify illegal immigrants and Rohingya individuals and take suitable actions against them.
CM Yogi Adityanath also called for prompt action regarding complaints about the use of illegal loudspeakers in religious venues.
He mentioned that audio from loudspeakers should not travel beyond the confines of religious sites and directed officials to issue notices for any violations. In cases of persistent non-compliance, stringent action must be taken.
The CM also reviewed preparations for the final bathing festival of the Maha Kumbh on Mahashivratri on February 26 and instructed officials to ensure effective traffic management with an organized route plan.
He requested that officials prevent roadside parking and devise methods to reduce the walking distance for devotees heading to the Sangam for the sacred dip.
Coordination among the Maha Kumbh Mela administration, Prayagraj administration, and neighboring district authorities should be flawless, asserted CM Yogi Adityanath.
He underscored the vital role of daily wage workers in the success of the Maha Kumbh and insisted that their honorarium should be disbursed promptly.
"No payments should remain outstanding. If an outsourcing agency is causing delays, immediate discussions should be held to ensure timely payments," he remarked.
Additionally, the payment procedure for these workers should be evaluated at the governmental level to ensure accountability, he noted.
On Mahashivratri, an estimated 15 to 25 lakh devotees are anticipated to visit Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Varanasi, and he indicated that the administration must implement a well-structured action plan suited to the specific requirements of the area.
"This Mahashivratri, a magnificent procession of esteemed Akharas will also take place at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham. Coordination with the seers of the Akharas is crucial to ensure a smooth darshan experience for both ordinary devotees and Akhara members," he stated.
The Chief Minister further directed officials to formulate a crowd management strategy for multiple processions to Nageshwarnath Dham, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, and Mahadeva in Barabanki, on the day of Mahashivratri.
