New Delhi, March 14 (NationPress) The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed that the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup Qualifier will take place at two venues in Lahore from April 9-19. A total of six teams will vie for two spots in the main event scheduled for India in October-November. Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sri Lanka, alongside hosts India, have secured their places for the World Cup by finishing in the top six of the ten-team ICC Women’s Championship (2022-25).

The sixth edition of the Women’s ODI World Cup Qualifier will see teams from four Full Members – Bangladesh, Ireland, Pakistan, and the West Indies – competing against Associate nations Scotland and Thailand in a 15-match tournament.

Bangladesh, Ireland, Pakistan, and the West Indies entered the qualifying tournament after finishing from seventh to tenth in the ICC Women’s Championship. Thailand and Scotland qualified as the next two best-ranked teams in the ICC Women’s ODI Team Rankings as of October 28, 2024.
