Hyderabad, March 14 (NationPress) Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao challenged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday to demonstrate his courage by taking action against Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for his alleged 'secret' meeting with BJP leaders.
Rama Rao's comments came in response to claims made by BJP MLA Raja Singh about a clandestine meeting involving the Chief Minister.
"Rahul Gandhi frequently speaks about BJP infiltrators within Congress. Does he have the guts to confront his own CM, who is making clandestine arrangements with the BJP?" Rama Rao questioned in his post on X.
KTR, as he is commonly known, accused Revanth Reddy of allegedly participating in hidden discussions with BJP leaders to protect his position.
KTR claimed that Revanth Reddy engages in "backdoor politics" while outwardly opposing the BJP.
He also criticized the Congress party for fostering a "dirty political culture" where leaders prioritize power over the welfare of the public.
KTR asserted that these clandestine meetings are part of a broader scheme aimed at undermining the progress of Telangana.
"It is disgraceful for a Congress CM to conduct secret meetings with BJP leaders. Telangana has never encountered such deceitful politics," KTR remarked.
"Congress has a track record of sowing discord among the populace for its own political gain, and this is just another instance."
Expressing his indignation, KTR lambasted the Chief Minister for neglecting urgent state issues, including the agrarian crisis and student suicides in residential schools.
"Farmers are in distress, students are facing hardships, yet the CM lacks time for review meetings. However, he finds ample time for these covert discussions with BJP leaders. This is an unforgivable betrayal," he stated.
KTR further noted that BJP MLA Raja Singh's recent remarks have unveiled Revanth Reddy's purported backdoor negotiations with the BJP.
"The CM pretends to oppose the BJP publicly while secretly collaborating with them. This exemplifies the essence of Congress politics," he added.
The former Minister warned that the citizens of Telangana would not accept such "ugly politics" and would reject both the BJP and Congress, which he described as "two Delhi-centric parties that fail to comprehend the interests of Telangana."
"This state has progressed too far to be dragged back into the dirty tactics of Congress and BJP. The society of Telangana will resist and ensure these conspiracies do not succeed," KTR asserted.
