New Delhi, March 16 (NationPress) On the concluding day of the Special Olympics World Winter Games 2025, Indian athletes showcased an exceptional exhibition of skill and determination, securing 12 additional medals across four events, raising the total medal count to 33.

In the Snowshoeing event, India garnered four more medals, supplementing the six medals previously won. Vasu Tiwari, Shalini Chauhan, and Tanya each achieved a silver medal in the 25m Snowshoeing event, while Jahangir contributed with a bronze in the same category.

The Alpine Skiing segment also featured remarkable performances from Indian athletes. Radha Devi and Nirmala Devi claimed silver medals in the Intermediate Slalom (F01 and F04 categories, respectively), while Abhishek Kumar added another silver in the Novice Slalom (M02 category), underscoring India’s triumph in the tournament.

Additionally, Akriti displayed outstanding endurance in Cross Country Skiing, earning a bronze medal in the 100m Classical Technique (F02 category).
