New Delhi, Feb 3 (NationPress) Gongadi Trisha, G Kamilini, Aayushi Shukla, and Vaishnavi Sharma, key players of the Indian squad that triumphed in the 2025 U19 Women’s T20 World Cup, have been honored with selections to the team of the tournament announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday.

The victorious Indian players secured positions in the team led by South Africa’s captain Kayla Reyneke, who guided her team to the finals at Bayuemas Oval on Sunday. Another South African, Jemma Botha, made the tournament team, while fast-bowler Nthabiseng Nini was included as the 12th player.

Trisha emerged as the top run-scorer of the tournament with a total of 309 runs, including a century against Scotland. She was awarded Player of the Match in the final after claiming figures of 3-15 with her leg-spin bowling and scoring an unbeaten 44, leading India to a nine-wicket victory that secured their U19 World Cup title.

Having previously won the 2023 U19 World Cup with her team, Trisha also received the Player of the Tournament accolade in the 2025 edition. Her opening partner and wicketkeeper Kamalini contributed significantly with 143 runs throughout the tournament, forming a formidable opening duo.
