New Delhi, Feb 2 (NationPress) The famous Amrit Udyan in Rashtrapati Bhavan, formerly known as the Mughal Gardens, has opened its gates for public visits starting this Sunday, as stated by an official. Visitors can explore the garden for six days a week, with Mondays reserved for maintenance.

The garden will be accessible from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., excluding Mondays. Reservations can be made via the Rashtrapati Bhawan website.

This year's Udyan Utsav is highlighted as a landscaping wonder, featuring an array of vibrant Tulips, Daffodils, Asiatic Lilies, Oriental Lilies, and a variety of other rare seasonal flowers.

An official noted that the centerpiece will be the stunning floral displays of tulips along with over 100 different types of roses.

Situated in the heart of Delhi, Rashtrapati Bhawan is easily reachable from all corners of the national capital and nearby cities via public transportation and the Delhi Metro.

Two major metro stations are conveniently located nearby, providing easy access for visitors: Central Secretariat Metro Station: 2.0 km; and Shivaji Stadium Metro Station: 2.0 km.

Amrit Udyan also features special access days aimed at specific groups. On March 26, differently-abled individuals can visit; personnel from defense, paramilitary, and police forces can enter on March 27; women and tribal women's Self-Help Groups (SHGs) are invited on March 28; while senior citizens can visit on March 29.

The garden layout includes the East Lawn, Central Lawn, Long Garden, and Circular Garden.

Additional gardens were initiated during the presidencies of A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Ram Nath Kovind, which feature Herbal-I, Herbal-II, Tactile Garden, Bonsai Garden, and Arogya Vanam.

Visitors can also discover various attractions, including Bal Vatika—a specially designed garden for children that showcases the tale of a 225-year-old Sheesham tree, a treehouse, and Nature’s classroom.

Moreover, the Bonsai and Circular Gardens exhibit a rich assortment of flora and fauna.

A food court is available for refreshments, while ongoing exhibitions enhance the overall visitor experience.
