Bengaluru, Feb 3 (NationPress) The BJP has criticized the Karnataka government regarding the gang rape of an 8-year-old girl in Mandya district.
“Residents are forced to live in constant fear of serious offenses like rape, atrocities against women, and daylight thefts,” the BJP remarked.
During a statement in Bengaluru, state BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra emphasized on Monday, “The gang rape of a minor in Mandya is an exceptionally vile and inhumane crime perpetrated by individuals with a twisted mindset. This has left civilized society deeply ashamed.”
“The law and order situation in the state has utterly deteriorated, allowing anti-social elements to exploit this chaos and commit rapes against minors, perpetrate violence against women, and engage in daylight robberies without any fear,” Vijayendra asserted.
“The Chief Minister and cabinet members in the Congress-led government are preoccupied with political maneuvering as the power-sharing period approaches its conclusion,” Vijayendra highlighted.
He alleged that officials are exploiting the unstable circumstances in the state and evading accountability for their failures.
“The gang rape incident involving the minor from Mandya has added to the extensive list of serious crimes that have plagued the state. If the Congress-led government does not take stringent measures, the public will perceive the state as being in collusion with anti-social elements,” he stated.
The shocking incident, revealed within the Mandya police station limits on Sunday, has raised serious concerns as it transpired within a government school.
According to law enforcement, the assault occurred on January 31 when the three suspects lured the girl with a cake.
They proceeded to gang rape her while threatening her with a knife, and the victim has since been hospitalized.
The case came to light when the girl, unable to endure the pain from severe bleeding, confided in her maternal aunt. The police are currently investigating the matter.
