New Delhi, Feb 8 (NationPress) Following a significant victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, victorious candidates from the BJP celebrated on Saturday, attributing their achievement to the exceptional leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party's effective "double-engine" governance model.

In an interview with IANS, Ashish Sood, the BJP's elected representative from Janakpuri, emphasized the importance of the double-engine government.

He stated, “Thanks to Modi's leadership, the double-engine government has taken charge in Delhi. For 27 years, development eluded Delhi, with the Yamuna becoming a dumping ground and the city facing challenges like contaminated water. But now, under PM Modi's guidance, we aim to eliminate these issues. The residents of Janakpuri and all of Delhi are like family to me. Together, guided by PM Modi, we will ensure clean drinking water and enhance the living conditions of Delhiites.”

Another successful BJP candidate, Gajainder Yadav from Mehrauli, celebrated the victory as a win for the “Bhagwa” (saffron flag), crediting Prime Minister Modi for his commitment to public welfare.

“This success is due to the welfare initiatives undertaken by our esteemed PM Modi. For nearly 20 years, BJP activists in Mehrauli lacked representation, but today, one of us has become an MLA. I attribute this victory entirely to the leadership of the BJP and our dedicated workers,” Yadav remarked.

Yadav also targeted former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of corruption and hubris.

“Kejriwal’s ego and corruption hindered him. His derogatory remarks against our beloved Prime Minister resonated negatively with the people of Delhi. Hence, the citizens have sent him a clear message,” he added.

He further criticized Kejriwal’s earlier claim that PM Modi “needs to be reborn to win in Delhi,” labeling it as rude and disrespectful.

“The people of Delhi have demonstrated their support for PM Modi, his vision, and his development agenda. Opposition parties blaming the Prime Minister should reflect, as they will meet the same fate as Kejriwal,” Yadav concluded.

The BJP's overwhelming victory in the Delhi Assembly elections has solidified the party's supremacy, with leaders lauding the party's vision for the capital's future under PM Modi’s leadership.
