Mumbai, Feb 6 (NationPress) Actor Imran Khan made a notable appearance at the exclusive screening of the highly anticipated film ‘Loveyapa’, featuring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor. Both Junaid and Khushi represent the emerging talent of Bollywood.
Junaid, son of Bollywood icon Aamir Khan, and Khushi, daughter of renowned producer Boney Kapoor, are stepping into the limelight.
Previously, Imran was spotted at Aamir’s daughter Ira Khan’s wedding last year. After taking a break from acting, he is now concentrating on his business ventures.
The film ‘Loveyapa’ explores the theme of modern romance, delivering a touching narrative complemented by memorable performances, vibrant music, and stunning visuals. It is scheduled for release on February 7, 2025.
This film marks the second outing for both Junaid and Khushi, who debuted in Netflix productions ‘Maharaj’ and ‘The Archies’.
The film ‘Maharaj’ is inspired by the life of journalist and social reformer Karsandas Mulji. Portrayed by Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid, Mulji was an influential figure who studied at Elphinstone College in Mumbai and was a disciple of the eminent scholar-leader Dadabhai Naoroji. He was part of the Gujarati Gnanprasarak Mandalli, a group dedicated to spreading knowledge, and had friendships with notable Gujarati reformists like poet Narmad and educator Mahipatram Neelkanth.
Mulji advocated for widow remarriage, female education, and challenged societal norms regarding extravagant weddings and improper marriage practices. His efforts contributed significantly to social reform, aligning with his mentor’s vision of a better-functioning society by eliminating its flaws.
Among his many impactful writings, the article titled ‘Hinduo No Asli Dharam Ane Atyar Na Pakhandi Mato’ (The Primitive Religion of the Hindus and the Present Heterodox Opinions), published on September 21, 1890, in ‘Satyaprakash’, criticized the conduct of Vaishnava Archaryas (Hindu religious leaders). This article led to the infamous Maharaj Libel Case of 1862, which inspired the Netflix film.
On the professional front, Junaid Khan has another film in the pipeline alongside Sai Pallavi.
