Chennai, Feb 6 (NationPress) Director Rajkumar Periasamy, whose anticipated film Amaran continues to perform exceptionally well in cinemas and is approaching its 100-day milestone, has shared a touching message of appreciation for his assistant directors who played a vital role in the film's creation.

On platform X, the director, known for his remarkable blockbuster, expressed, “As we near #100DaysOfAmaran, I want to highlight that the essence of #Amaran and every cinematic project is the collective effort of a dedicated ‘army’. I take immense pride in having the finest team of ADs (Assistant Directors) by my side. This is my sincere gratitude and affection for all of you who invested your heart and soul! The triumph of Amaran belongs to you as much as it does to me.”

Just recently, Rajkumar Periasamy expressed his thanks to Mani Ratnam in a post on X for his unwavering support. Sharing a photo with the legendary director, he remarked, “On the journey to #100DaysOfAmaran, Mani sir, you ignited my passion for filmmaking; you were the first individual I dreamed of capturing a moment with, and I succeeded in 2005! It breaks my heart that I lost that photo.”

Amaran, featuring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi in leading roles, was produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International, Sony Pictures International Productions, and R.Mahendran.

The narrative of Amaran is a biographical account based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who was honored with the Ashok Chakra, India’s highest award for bravery, for his ultimate sacrifice while combating militants in Jammu and Kashmir. Major Mukund Varadarajan led the Cheetah company of the 44th Rashtriya Rifles of the Indian Army during his heroic sacrifice.

The film, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, features music by G V Prakash and cinematography by C H Sai. It includes action sequences crafted by Anbariv and Stefan Richter. Kalaivannan managed the editing, while Sharief handled the dance choreography.
