Hyderabad, Feb 1 (NationPress) Two individuals, including a police head constable, sustained injuries when a notorious burglar opened fire in the Gacchibowli neighborhood of Hyderabad on Saturday night.
The incident took place at Prism Pub in the Financial District, where a police team from Central Crime Station Madhapur was present to apprehend a man linked to multiple criminal activities.
Upon noticing the officers, the suspect fired two shots from a pistol, injuring police constable Venkatram Reddy in the thigh. A bouncer, also present at the pub, was injured in the exchange of gunfire.
Both individuals were immediately transported to a hospital. The incident, occurring around 7:30 p.m., caused considerable panic among patrons in the pub.
According to police reports, Venkatram Reddy, along with colleagues Pradeep Reddy and Veera Swamy from CCS Madhapur, aimed to arrest the highly sought-after burglar Battula Prabhakar.
