New Delhi, Feb 3 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday at the Parliament House in the nation's capital to discuss upcoming investments and various initiatives of the state government.

During this meeting, Chief Minister Sarma conveyed his sincere appreciation on behalf of the citizens of Assam to Prime Minister Modi for the approval of a urea plant in Namrup, labeling this decision from the Central government as a 'transformational' step for the state's development.

The conversation also touched on the forthcoming Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit, where Chief Minister Sarma acknowledged the significant insights he gained from the Prime Minister, along with the grand Jhumur dance performance planned for the day prior to the investment and infrastructure summit.

Prime Minister Modi is set to be the Chief Guest at the Advantage Assam 2.0 event on February 25 and will also attend the mega Jhumur performance at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati.

On the same day, Chief Minister Sarma also met with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at the Parliament House, congratulating her for delivering one of the finest budgets in India's history, which prioritized the middle class and small businesses.

Chief Minister Sarma further discussed the mega Advantage Assam Summit 2.0 with the Union Finance Minister, who agreed to participate in the valedictory session at his request.

"I congratulated Union Minister Smt @nsitharaman Ji for presenting one of the finest Budgets in India's history—a budget that places the middle class and small businesses at the forefront of the Government's agenda.
