New Delhi, Jan 20 (NationPress) The Indian electronics giant Dixon Technologies reported a remarkable increase in its net profit for Q3 FY25, with earnings escalating to Rs 216 crore, compared to Rs 97 crore during the same period last fiscal year.
As per the company's exchange announcement, the revenue surged to Rs 10,553.7 crore, marking an impressive increase of nearly 119 percent from Rs 4,817 crore recorded a year earlier.
The EBITDA for Q3 reached Rs 390.6 crore, up from Rs 184 crore last year.
However, the company's margin saw a slight decrease, dipping to 3.7 percent from 3.8 percent year-over-year.
A significant component of this growth can be attributed to the mobile segment, where revenue nearly tripled to Rs 9,305 crore. The EBIT from this sector also more than tripled, rising to Rs 322 crore, compared to Rs 104 crore last year.
According to the filing, the mobile division now accounts for 89 percent of Dixon's overall revenue, up from 67 percent a year prior.
Dixon Technologies' stock experienced a 1.72 percent rise on Monday, though it has seen a 3 percent decline since the start of the year.
In September of the previous year, HP Inc and Padget Electronics, a subsidiary of Dixon Technologies, entered into a memorandum of understanding to produce HP laptops, personal computers, and All-in-One PCs at a facility in Tamil Nadu.
Production of HP products is set to begin this month, with expectations to reach 20 lakh units annually within two years after the factory's launch in Oragadam, an industrial area near Chennai.
This initiative is anticipated to create over 1,500 direct jobs, with Padget planning to gradually enhance local manufacturing of components, modules, and peripherals, thereby generating additional employment opportunities.
