Bhopal, Jan 29 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, held a meeting on Wednesday with Japan's Parliamentary Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Hisashi Matsumoto, in Kasumigaseki, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, emphasizing the significance of India-Japan collaboration and enhancing state-level relations.
Additionally, he engaged with Yuji Fukusawa, the President of East Japan Railway Company and the South Asia Committee of Keidanren, discussing extensive investment prospects in Madhya Pradesh. This meeting took place at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, concentrating on technical collaboration and investment avenues in the railway and transport industries.
The Chief Minister is scheduled to participate in several events, including vital discussions with key industrialists and organizations.
He will also meet with Susumu Kataoka, President of the Japan External Trade Organization, with the primary aim of identifying business and industrial development opportunities in Madhya Pradesh to fortify trade relations with Japan.
After a series of meetings with prominent industrialists and representatives from various organizations, Chief Minister Yadav will take part in an interaction event with the Indian diaspora at the Hikari Hall of the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo.
During this session, he will showcase the state's industrial advancements, investment opportunities, and policies.
He will also attend a dinner hosted at the event, where he will extend an invitation for the Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit scheduled in Bhopal on February 24 and 25.
On Tuesday, during the inaugural session, Chief Minister Yadav commended Japan for its resilience in overcoming devastating earthquakes and natural disasters.
"Japan has been associated with the tradition of Gautam Buddha for thousands of years, and our land has always shared a unique bond with Japan since ancient times," CM Yadav remarked.
He also conveyed his appreciation to India's Ambassador to Japan, Sibi George, for his substantial role in linking people from various business sectors.
"Particularly regarding Japan, the goods exported from Madhya Pradesh include aluminium products, organic chemicals, nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery, mechanical equipment, and pharmaceutical products," CM Yadav stated.
The Chief Minister pointed out that the Madhya Pradesh government has revised policies to attract investors, emphasizing that the special initiatives introduced have drawn significant investors across various sectors, notably in garments, logistics, food processing, ethanol, IT, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices.
