Chennai, Feb 8 (NationPress) According to industry insiders, actor Aadhi has officially joined the cast of director Boyapati Sreenu’s highly anticipated action film 'Akhanda 2 - Thaandavam', which stars Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role.

Sources indicate that Aadhi has been enlisted to portray a commanding character in this film. The crew is currently engaged in filming a thrilling action sequence under the guidance of stunt masters Ram and Laxman.

It is noteworthy that filming commenced at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. A tweet from the production company 14 Reels Plus earlier this January announced, “#Akhanda2 - Thaandavam begins its shoot at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, capturing the true essence of faith and devotion. Grand release worldwide for Dussehra on September 25th, 2025.”

In addition to Balakrishna and Aadhi, the movie will also feature Samyuktha Menon, who was welcomed to the team recently.

Produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta, the film boasts music by Thaman S and cinematography by C Ramprasad and Santoshh D Detakae. The editing is handled by Tammiraju and the art direction is by AS Prakash.

'Akhanda 2 - Thaandavam' has generated significant buzz, especially since the previous installment, Akhanda, became a massive hit, running for over 100 days in more than 100 centers and impressively lasting 175 days in one specific theater.

The first Akhanda was produced on a budget considered to be the highest for a Balakrishna film, yielding remarkable box office results. The success prompted director Boyapati Sreenu and Balakrishna to collaborate once again.

Interestingly, Akhanda marked the third consecutive blockbuster from this duo, following their earlier successes with Simhaa and Legend.
