Mumbai, Jan 31 (NationPress) Aamir Khan recently attended the trailer launch for Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi's "Thandel". During this event, the talented Allu Aravind, a prominent South producer, hinted at the highly anticipated sequel "Ghajini 2".

While speaking to the media, Allu Aravind remarked, "I should make 1000 crore film with you. Maybe 'Ghajini 2'." In response, Aamir Khan acknowledged, "A lot on the net has been going around Ghajini 2".

For some time now, rumors have circulated that Allu Aravind is planning to develop the sequel in both Tamil and Hindi. If these reports are accurate, Suriya is expected to star in the Tamil version of "Ghajini 2", with Aamir Khan taking the lead in the Hindi adaptation.

The original "Ghajini", released in 2008, was directed by A. R. Murugadoss and marked the filmmaker's debut in Bollywood. It premiered on December 25, 2008, and quickly became the highest-grossing Indian film of that year, as well as the first Bollywood film to surpass the ₹100 crore milestone.

"Ghajini" follows the story of a wealthy tycoon, Sanjay Singhania (played by Aamir Khan), who suffers from short-term memory loss after being struck by a metal rod while trying to rescue his girlfriend, Kalpana Shetty (Asin).

In another development, the Tamil trailer for "Thandel" was launched by superstar Karthi, with Aamir Khan attending as the chief guest at the event.

Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, "Thandel" will hit theaters in multiple languages on February 7, 2025. Produced by Bunny Vasu under the Geetha Arts banner and presented by Allu Aravind, the film stars Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi in lead roles, along with Prakash Belawadi and Karunakaran in supporting roles.

"Thandel" delves into the traumatic experiences of fishermen from Srikakulam, who accidentally drift into Pakistani waters during a fishing expedition.
