St George (Antigua), Feb 6 (NationPress) The West Indies men's cricket team is set to kick off their 2025-27 World Test Championship cycle with a three-match home Test series against Australia, while their women's team will host South Africa in a series leading up to a potential World Cup spot. This announcement comes as Cricket West Indies (CWI) revealed the schedule from May to December 2025, which includes a variety of home and away matches.

The men’s team will compete for the coveted Frank Worrell Trophy against Australia, starting in Barbados from June 25-29, followed by matches in Grenada from July 3-7, and concluding in Jamaica from July 12-16. This marks Australia's first Test tour to the West Indies since 2015.

To wrap up the home summer, the West Indies will face Pakistan in three T20 matches in Lauderhill, Florida, from July 31 to August 12, followed by three ODIs at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad.

Following this, the team will embark on an overseas tour to India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand from September 21 to December 23. The tour to India will include two Test matches, while the Bangladesh leg will consist of three ODIs and three T20Is. New Zealand will host a comprehensive tour with five T20Is, three ODIs, and three Test matches.

Before these fixtures, the West Indies, having missed out on qualifying for the 2023 ODI World Cup, will prepare for the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup by starting with a three-match ODI series against Ireland from May 21-25 in Malahide, Dublin.

Four days later, they will challenge England in an attempt to secure consecutive ODI series victories, with three ODIs scheduled from May 29 to June 3. This will be followed by three T20 Internationals against England from June 6-10, and three T20Is against Ireland in Belfast from June 12-15.

The women’s team will commence their 2025 campaign with the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers in Pakistan from April 4-19, competing for two spots in the prestigious event scheduled for August-September in India.

Post-qualifiers, the women's team will tour England for a complete white-ball series, featuring three T20Is and three ODIs from May 21 to June 8. Later in the year, they will host South Africa for a landmark white-ball series at the 3Ws Oval in Barbados, marking the venue's first time hosting such an international series.
