Mumbai, Feb 8 (NationPress) A shocking case of fraud has emerged involving Aarushi Nishank, the daughter of ex-Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank.
Aarushi was allegedly deceived under the pretense of a film role. She was requested to pay Rs 5 crore for the opportunity and was promised triple the returns once the movie was produced. Excited by the offer, Aarushi transferred approximately Rs 4 crore.
According to her claims, the perpetrators assured her that this investment would yield a 20 percent profit to her company, estimated at about Rs 15 crores. They informed Aarushi that she would have the chance to finalize the script for her significant role and would be cast according to their criteria. They even promised that if she was dissatisfied with her role, her investment would be refunded along with 15 percent annual interest.
However, she neither received the role nor her money back. After a prolonged wait with no results, Aarushi became aware of the fraud. She lodged a complaint at Kotwali city in Dehradun. The police have initiated an investigation and are on the lookout for the suspects. A case has been filed against Manasi Varun and Varun Pramod, both from Mumbai.
Reportedly, the alleged film producers disseminated and showcased fake images of the film crew on the official page of Mini Films Pvt Ltd, cropping Aarushi's photograph with the intention to commit deceit. After this incident, when Aarushi demanded her money back, the producers allegedly threatened her with violence and promised to tarnish her family's reputation in society, according to her complaint.
