New Delhi, March 13 (NationPress) Rinku Hooda emerged as the standout athlete as the host nation, India, showcased yet another strong performance on the second day of the World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2025 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Wednesday.
Rinku Hooda was the highlight of the day in the men's javelin throw F46 category, securing gold with a throw of 60.26m, while the home team achieved a clean sweep in the men's javelin F12/F37/F42/F43 combined event.
His performance not only underscored his role as the top performer of the day but also extended his remarkable form after clinching victory at the 22nd National Para Athletics Championships in Goa and earning a silver medal at the fourth Asian Para Games.
In the men's javelin F12/F37/F42/F43 combined category, Indian competitors dominated the podium. Pushpendra Singh led the team with a gold-winning throw of 57.57m, followed by Mohit who earned silver with a 45.45m throw, and Jaswant who secured bronze with a throw of 45.94m.
Ritender added another gold to India's tally in the men's javelin F40/F41 category, with an impressive throw of 30.33m.
In the men's discus throw F56/F57 event, Atul Kaushik claimed gold with a throw of 43.92m, while Ram Kumar Yadav took home the silver with a distance of 30.59m.
