Mumbai, April 24 (NationPress) Renowned vocalist Arijit Singh has decided to cancel his upcoming concert in Chennai following the horrific terrorist incident in Pahalgam, Kashmir.

On Thursday, Arijit shared a message via the Stories section of his Instagram, relaying information from the event's organizers.

The statement from the organizers mentioned, “In response to the recent tragic occurrences, the organizers in conjunction with the artist have mutually decided to cancel the forthcoming show slated for this Sunday, April 27, in Chennai.”

The singer and the organizers reassured attendees that they are entitled to a complete refund, which will soon appear in the original payment method.

“All ticket holders will get full refunds, and the amount will be auto-credited back to your original payment method. For any inquiries, please contact events@district.in. Thank you for your understanding,” they added.

The deadly terrorist attack on tourists resulted in over 20 fatalities, including a local hero who confronted the terrorists and attempted to seize their weapon, only to be shot. The assailants separated the tourists according to their faith and executed them based on their religious identification.

The terrorist group, The Resistance Front (TRF), has taken responsibility for this heinous act. TRF is a splinter group of the Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, which emerged following the significant abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir, a move that revoked the special status of the Indian state, now classified as a union territory.

This attack has prompted discussions regarding the increasing influence of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism in the Kashmir valley.

In the aftermath of the attack, India has suspended the Indus Waters Treaty. While this decision has been praised by many in India, it has elicited a strong response from Islamabad, with a senior Pakistani official labeling the action as “water warfare.”

Numerous countries have condemned the recent terrorist attack, with Canada being the only G7 nation that has not made any statements regarding the incident.
