Mumbai, March 14 (NationPress) Singer Guru Randhawa has shared his most outrageous Holi memories, brimming with mischief, pranks, and endless joy. From blending eggs with colors to create playful mayhem to relishing his cherished childhood treats, Guru disclosed how he genuinely celebrated the festival alongside his friends and family.
In an exclusive conversation with IANS, the artist opened up about his wildest Holi moments, favorite dishes, and the traditions that made the festival significant during his younger years.
When reflecting on the most outrageous thing he's ever done during Holi, Guru recalled, “Holi has always been a memorable festival for me, particularly with my college pals. While many engage in the conventional color play, we indulged in some of the wildest activities imaginable for fun. We used to mix eggs with colors and smear each other's faces with it. I know it sounds disgusting - but it was a playful way to annoy one another during the festivities. The smell lingered for days! Yet, it's the memories that have lasted far longer!.”
Regarding his favorite food during Holi, Guru has a special fondness for traditional sweets. “During Holi, the day is incomplete without indulging in heaps of gujiyas! They’ve been my favorite since childhood. I would fill myself up with gujiyas and keep my meals light with comforting dal chawal.”
Discussing how he prepared for playing with Holi colors, the High Rated Gabru singer shared, “As kids, we all enjoyed visiting the homes of our family and friends, and playfully brushing colors on their faces, especially while they were asleep. That’s the craziest thing I’ve done on Holi. My friends and I used to launch water balloons at each other, and preparations would kick off a week in advance. It turned into a genuine competition among us, and all my childhood friends took it very seriously. Now, when I reminisce about all the fun, I realize I have a treasure trove of happy memories and thrilling experiences! For now, I just wish for everyone’s good health.”
