Mumbai, Feb 2 (NationPress) Renowned television actor Karan Wahi has recently shared his remarkable transformation from a dog phobic individual to a dedicated pet owner. During a heartfelt discussion on "Pet Stories" hosted by Pet Station alongside actress Sneha Namanandi, Karan revealed how his cherished pet, Noah, not only changed his life but also played an instrumental part in helping him face his greatest fears. He confessed that he used to have a profound fear of dogs, recalling a startling incident where he exclaimed, "I was so terrified that I once leaped into a balcony to evade a dog. Thankfully, the grill prevented a disaster. That was the most foolish act I've ever committed."
Wahi's apprehension towards dogs began to diminish when he encountered the pets of his friends, Kishwer Merchant and Suyyash Rai, as well as Jennifer Winget’s dog. "In fact, during the show Khatron Ke Khiladi, I distinctly stated, 'I’ll take any pet, but not a dog!' That illustrates just how frightened I was," he recounted.
“During the lockdown, with no work available, I found myself endlessly scrolling through social media. I began watching dog videos, and soon my entire feed was filled with them. That’s when it dawned on me that I wanted a pet of my own. Noah is a Covid baby, and while I may not understand the world, he has surely rescued me,” he noted.
Karan describes Noah as more than just an animal; he is his closest friend and an unwavering companion. “I never envisioned myself as a pet owner, and now I can’t picture my life without him. He is my best friend, my source of comfort, and my joy. My mother often visits just to see him. Noah listens to her, and they engage in profound conversations. She even sings lullabies to him at night.”
The 'Dill Mill Gayye' star believes that adopting a pet is a transformative experience and urges individuals to thoughtfully assess their decision before welcoming one into their lives.
“'My family will care for the pet.' That’s a misconception. It’s been two and a half years since I’ve truly resided in my home in Delhi. I leave in the morning and return at night, knowing that Noah is eagerly waiting for me,” he added.
