It was Bhajan Singh Rana who transported Saif to Lilavati hospital on January 16 after the star was stabbed multiple times during a robbery attempt at his residence in the early hours.
Before leaving the hospital, Saif made a personal call to the rickshaw driver, inviting him for a visit.
In one of the photos, the rickshaw driver sits beside Saif on the hospital bed, both beaming at the camera. Saif’s injured hand rests on Bhajan Singh Rana’s shoulder. Another picture captures them standing together, smiling for the lens.
The 54-year-old actor, married to renowned actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, expressed his gratitude towards the rickshaw driver, encouraging him to reach out for assistance whenever necessary.
Saif, alongside his mother, veteran actress Sharmila Tagore, extended their thanks to Bhajan Singh Rana.
Reports indicate that Saif commended the rickshaw driver’s efforts, stating: 'Keep helping others like this. And regarding the fare that day, don’t worry, it will be taken care of.'
He humorously added: 'If you ever need help in life, remember me.'
When Bhajan Singh Rana was questioned about how he accessed the hospital, amidst the presence of media personnel, he shared with IANS: 'I entered the hospital wearing a mask.'
The rickshaw driver mentioned he had received a call from Saif’s personal assistant.
He expressed that he “just prayed” for the actor's recovery.
“I took a few selfies with him. I took a few photos with him,” he recounted.
Reflecting on the night of the incident, when Saif was stabbed, the actor requested him to drive slowly as it was “a little painful.”
