On Sunday, the actor shared a captivating video on his Instagram Stories. The footage, filmed from inside a houseboat, showcases the iconic Chinese fishing nets in the picturesque Kumbalangi region of Kochi. It is speculated that he is shooting for his upcoming film ‘Param Sundari’, produced by Maddock Films, which also features Janhvi Kapoor.
Last year, Sidharth paid homage to Captain Vikram Batra, a hero of the Kargil War, on his birth anniversary. He posted a picture on Instagram Stories, where he is seen honoring the statue of the martyred soldier.
He captioned the image, “Remembering Captain Vikram Batra, the true Shershaah, on his 50th birth anniversary. I’m thankful to have portrayed him on screen. His courage and spirit continue to inspire all of us.”
Sidharth portrayed him in the 2021 film ‘Shershaah’, a biographical war film based on Captain Batra’s life. The film marked Vishnuvardhan’s Hindi film debut and was penned by Sandeep Shrivastava, featuring Sidharth's wife Kiara Advani.
Captain Vikram Batra joined the Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun in June 1996, completing his training in the Manekshaw Battalion. He graduated from the IMA on December 6, 1997, and was commissioned as a lieutenant in the Indian Army.
He was posthumously honored with the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest military award, for his valor during the Kargil War on July 7, 1999, after he was martyred while combating Pakistani forces at Point 4875 in the Kargil district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Sidharth was recently seen in ‘Yodha’, a film inspired by significant aircraft hijackings in Indian history, especially the Indian Airlines Flight 814 incident in 1999.
Earlier, in ‘Indian Police Force’, which expands Rohit Shetty’s cop universe to OTT, Sidharth played the role of DCP Kabir Malik.
