Mumbai, Feb 21 (NationPress) Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor couldn't contain her excitement over Shanaya Kapoor's charming childhood video, which she recently posted online.
The clip rapidly gained popularity, eliciting responses from her mother, Maheep Kapoor, father, Sanjay Kapoor, and cousin Sonam, who all were delighted by the nostalgic moment. Shanaya took to her Instagram to share a delightful video of herself as a young girl dressed in a tiger costume, engaging playfully with her parents. In this heartwarming clip, her affectionate mother, Maheep, can be heard asking her to strike a pose for a picture, but the little girl cutely declines to comply. Additionally, Sanjay can be heard playfully calling out to his daughter, saying, “Who is that cheetah? Ohh…”
In response to the video, Sonam Kapoor commented, “Cutey.” Maheep remarked, “Always firing me right from the beginning.” Bhavana Pandey added, “Loved the firing you gave.” Sanjay Kapoor chimed in with a simple, “Roar.”
In the meantime, Shanaya is preparing for her Bollywood debut in the film "Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan," directed by Santosh Singh. This movie draws inspiration from Ruskin Bond's cherished short story The Eyes Have It, featuring Shanaya as a theatre artist alongside Vikrant Massey, who plays a blind musician.
On January 30, Shanaya gave a sneak peek into her progress on social media, celebrating the completion of a filming schedule for the project. She shared a photo of a clapboard and a cake, both adorned with the phrase “schedule wrap,” to mark this achievement.
Filming for "Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan" commenced in Mussoorie last October, with additional shoots planned in Europe. Although an official release date hasn't been announced yet, the film is anticipated to premiere in mid-2025.
Shanaya was initially poised to debut in Karan Johar's "Bedhadak," alongside Lakshya and Gurfateh Parizada, but that project was reportedly shelved. Besides "Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan," she will also appear in the upcoming "Student of the Year" web series, produced by Dharma Productions.
Additionally, the actress has the pan-India film "Vrushabha," featuring Mohanlal, lined up as well.
