Ahmedabad, Dec 21 (NationPress) The Ayushman Bharat PM-Jan Arogya Yojana has proven to be a remarkable support for economically disadvantaged individuals across India. Many are benefiting from free medical treatment under this program.
Patients can avail treatments worth up to Rs 5 lakh each year. A notable advantage is that patients can receive care at any registered hospital nationwide. Regardless of the severity of the illness, all treatments are provided without charge under this initiative.
Murlidhar, an Ahmedabad resident grappling with a critical illness like cancer, was able to receive treatment under this program, leading to significant improvement in his health. He expressed his relief that he received successful treatment without incurring any financial strain, all thanks to the Ayushman Bharat initiative.
Murlidhar was diagnosed with stage 1 cancer in 2023 and also faced kidney complications. He had been unable to afford treatment at a private facility. However, with the Ayushman Bharat scheme, he received essential cancer care at a hospital.
Murlidhar shared with IANS: "In 2023, I was made aware of my cancer diagnosis. Alongside, I had kidney issues. Once I commenced my treatment at the hospital using the Ayushman Card, I encountered no problems. All my tests, including CT scans, ultrasounds, and blood reports, were satisfactory, and I received outstanding services. This initiative by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is truly a blessing for the underprivileged and the middle class. I am thankful to PM Modi. I am pleased with the continuous care provided at the registered hospital. I look forward to being active again soon."
Murlidhar's wife, Rekha, remarked: "When I learned about my husband's condition, I was filled with concern, but I mustered the strength to confront the challenges. Now, my husband is battling the illness with resilience and is gradually recovering. I am overjoyed. I view PM Modi as a brother and pray for his longevity. His Ayushman Yojana is making a difference for many people."
