Bhopal, Feb 8 (NationPress) In a notable initiative to tackle maternal and infant mortality rates within the state, the Madhya Pradesh government has established a strategic alliance with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi to gain consistent support, as confirmed by an official on Saturday.
On that day, a group of senior officials from the National Health Mission of Madhya Pradesh participated in a meeting at AIIMS Delhi and formalized an agreement with the nation’s leading government health institution.
The meeting centered around the evaluation of evidence-based interventions and policy structures aimed at enhancing healthcare services in Madhya Pradesh, as stated by NHM Director Dr. Saloni Sidana, who represented the MP government.
Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla informed IANS that this action aims to fortify maternal and child health services and secure improved health outcomes throughout the state.
"The collaboration between AIIMS Delhi and NHM Madhya Pradesh will foster evidence-driven policies, advanced technical interventions, and improved training for health workers, leading to favorable health results," he expressed.
Shukla, also the state's health minister, further indicated that the insights and specialization of a renowned institution like AIIMS Delhi would certainly provide a new pathway for the state’s healthcare system.
He added that under this collaboration, NHM Madhya Pradesh and AIIMS Delhi will join forces to carry out targeted interventions, capacity-building initiatives, and state-of-the-art health solutions.
"Our aim is to enhance the quality of health services for mothers and newborns and to uplift the state’s health metrics. Special programs will be instituted for the training and technological empowerment of health workers," Shukla concluded.
A government release stated: "In a high-level meeting at AIIMS Delhi, NHM Mission Director Dr. Saloni Sidana and Deputy Director (Child Health) Dr. Himani Yadav engaged in comprehensive discussions with AIIMS Delhi experts, including Dr. Ramesh Agarwal, Dr. M. Jeev Sankar, Dr. Anu Sachdeva, Dr. Aparna Sharma, Dr. Ankit Verma, Dr. Vivek Kumar, and Dr. Satya Prakash.
"The deliberations focused on investigating evidence-based interventions and policy frameworks to enhance healthcare services in the state. The experts offered significant advice on improving the quality of maternal and child health services.
The statement emphasized that through this partnership, NHM Madhya Pradesh and AIIMS Delhi will collaborate to implement targeted interventions, capacity-building programs, and modern health solutions.
