Nalasopara, Dec 18 (NationPress) The Jan Aushadhi Kendras, initiated under the Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP), are significantly aiding patients and their families throughout the nation by providing medications at incredibly low costs.
The Jan Aushadhi Kendra located in Nalasopara, a town situated approximately 60 km from Mumbai, is turning out to be a blessing for the general public, enabling them to purchase both routine and life-saving medications at highly affordable prices.
Usha, a local resident, shared with IANS: "I consistently come to this center for my medicines. Before the establishment of the Jan Aushadhi Kendra, we had to buy our medications from the market at inflated prices. Thanks to this center, we can now acquire medicines at reduced prices. Medications that cost Rs 100 elsewhere are available here for just Rs 30. I express my gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this initiative."
Noor Khan mentioned: "I regularly visit this center to purchase my medicines. Here, we are offered medications at low prices. These medicines are just as effective. I wish to convey my thanks to PM Modi for introducing this pro-poor scheme."
Dheeraj Kumar, the director of the Jan Aushadhi Kendra, stated that a wide range of medications is available at the center. Not only are diabetes and blood pressure medications accessible at lower prices, but the local villagers are also reaping the benefits.
Yogesh, a staff member at the Jan Aushadhi Kendra, remarked: "We provide all kinds of medicines here. The prices are notably lower compared to those found outside."
