Bhopal, Feb 4 (NationPress) The Bhopal-based Muslim poet Anjum Barabankvi, who has created a ghazal honoring Lord Ram, has garnered recognition from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Prime Minister not only lauded Barabankvi for showcasing his devotion to Lord Ram through his poetic expressions but also appreciated his effort by sending a letter and conveying his gratitude for the composition.

Notably, Anjum Barabankvi wrote a ghazal for Lord Ram to commemorate the first anniversary of the Pran-Pratishtha at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, last month.

In his letter, the Prime Minister noted that the endeavors of individuals like him are making the nation proud and will aid in advancing it to greater heights.

"With pride in our rich heritage, we are progressing towards developing a grand India in the Amrit Kaal. I am confident that the contributions of individuals like you will elevate the nation to new levels," the Prime Minister stated.

Expressing his joy upon receiving praise from the Prime Minister, Barabankvi mentioned that Lord Ram has profoundly influenced his life since his childhood, as the ideals he represents are unmatched.

"I never envisioned that I would someday receive a letter from the Prime Minister of our country. This letter has filled my entire family with immense pride. I am thankful and indebted to the Prime Minister for his kind gesture," Barabankvi expressed to IANS.

He further stated that Lord Ram epitomizes the ideal brother, son, and husband.

“His character sets the benchmark for what one should respect in a man. That is why every man sees a reflection of himself in him,” the poet articulated.

Barabankvi, originally from the Awad region of Uttar Pradesh, also mentioned that he faced backlash from some individuals for crafting a ghazal about Lord Ram.
