New Delhi, Feb 8 (NationPress) As the counting commences for the eagerly awaited Delhi Assembly elections, the BJP has taken an initial lead, and political figures from all parties are radiating confidence about their outcomes. Candidates representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and Congress have voiced optimism, stressing their contributions and the backing from the public.

The BJP candidate Parvesh Verma, contesting from New Delhi, is optimistic that the substantial support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership will be reflected in the election results. "Today is a crucial day. We are witnessing unwavering support all day long. Under Modi's leadership, our work will continue with full public endorsement," he stated.

Congress candidate Abhishek Dutt from Kasturba Nagar emphasized his grassroots initiatives and direct interaction with voters.

"The residents of Kasturba Nagar want Abhishek to represent them. We have diligently worked at the ground level, aided many, and created initiatives that benefit the community. This election hinges on trust in our efforts," he remarked.

In Krishna Nagar, BJP's Anil Goyal expressed assurance of a significant victory, citing the influence of the Modi administration and the anti-incumbency sentiment against AAP.

"I trust in the public, and they believe in Modi ji’s assurances. The people have turned away from the Kejriwal government's corruption and deceptions. We are set to win by a considerable margin," he proclaimed.

BJP’s candidate for Greater Kailash, Shikha Rai, shared her optimism. "I will pray first for our efforts to bear fruit, but I am confident we will win by a substantial margin. The public has showered us with love and support. They personally encouraged us and pledged to bring back the BJP government this time," she stated.

In Malviya Nagar, BJP's Satish Upadhyay forecasted a political transformation in Delhi. "The BJP’s lotus will blossom. For the last 20 years, Delhi has lagged, and in the past decade, it has endured hardships. A change is forthcoming, and the glory of Delhi will be restored. The Prime Minister's vision will be fulfilled with a 'double-engine' government," he asserted.

AAP's Somnath Bharti, also contesting from Malviya Nagar, expressed confidence that his party’s efforts over the years would be recognized. "The results will showcase our commitment. We have worked for 11 years treating people as divine, and that will be reflected in the results," he commented.

The election results, scheduled to be announced on Saturday, will decide if Arvind Kejriwal's AAP will maintain its stronghold for a fourth consecutive term or if the BJP will make a comeback after nearly 30 years.

Exit polls predominantly indicate an advantage for the BJP, predicting victories in 45 to 55 seats, while AAP is anticipated to face significant losses. Congress, after failing to win a single seat in the last two elections, is projected to secure just one.

With high stakes for every party involved, the final results will soon unveil the political landscape of Delhi.
