Ayodhya, Feb 3 (NationPress) The chief priest of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Acharya Satyendra Das, has been hospitalized due to a sudden decline in his health, as reported by sources on Sunday. His condition is reportedly serious, with difficulties in breathing.

Due to the breathing complications, Das was swiftly admitted to Shri Ram Hospital and was subsequently referred to the Trauma Centre before being transferred to Lucknow PGI for enhanced treatment.

Pradeep Das, the assistant priest at the Ram temple, provided updates on Satyendra Das's health.

Dr. Arun Kumar Singh from the Neuro Centre in Ayodhya City stated: "The condition of Satyendra Das is critical. A CT scan has indicated that he has suffered a brain hemorrhage affecting multiple areas of the brain."

Singh mentioned that the hospital has recommended transferring him to Lucknow PGI to ensure he receives superior medical care.

There is significant concern among the Ram temple administration in Ayodhya as well as among devotees of Acharya Satyendra Das, who are praying for his swift recovery at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex.

Currently, Acharya Satyendra Das's condition is stable, and he is under close observation by the medical team.

Since the inception of the Ram temple's construction, Acharya Satyendra Das has been appointed as the chief priest and has actively participated in the worship at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple.

On October 15, 2024, the 84-year-old Acharya Satyendra Das was hospitalized due to neurological issues, according to officials.

Nonetheless, medical authorities have verified that his condition remains stable.

"Acharya Satyendra Das, the head priest of Ayodhya's Shri Ram Temple, is currently in a private room in the Neurology Ward of SGPGI under the care of Dr. Prakash Chandra Pandey," stated RK Dhiman, Director of the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI).

Having lived in Ayodhya since childhood, Acharya Satyendra Das has been linked with the Ram Lalla Temple for nearly 32 years, having commenced his worship there before the Babri Masjid was demolished in 1992.
