New Delhi, Feb 5 (NationPress) On Wednesday, BJP leaders in Delhi exercised their voting rights during the Assembly elections, urging the residents of Delhi to engage in the democratic process.
As voting progresses across all 70 Assembly constituencies, BJP leaders highlighted the necessity for a government dedicated to development, governance, and the welfare of the populace.
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, accompanied by his wife, cast his ballot at a polling station in East Delhi. Prior to voting, he proclaimed, "Today signifies the conclusion of an 'AAPda' and the commencement of the BJP's journey after 27 years. The BJP will form a government in Delhi -- this is the sentiment of every community and locality. I urge everyone to vote for the better future of Delhi."
Expressing confidence in their victory, Tiwari remarked, "The BJP is surely winning; however, the most crucial aspect is that Delhi must win. The Delhi envisioned by the youth, the education-focused Delhi, has been compromised by this government. The youth will now opt for the BJP."
BJP candidate from the New Delhi Assembly constituency, Parvesh Verma, also exercised his right to vote alongside his family.
In an interview with IANS, Verma stated, "The primary concern in Delhi is establishing an effective government. The citizens have recognized the lies of AAP. A competent government will be formed, led by the Bharatiya Janata Party. I call upon the people of Delhi to come out in large numbers and vote for a reliable government."
Describing the BJP's vision, he added, "We aim to develop the Yamuna Riverfront akin to the Sabarmati Riverfront in Gujarat. The BJP will undoubtedly establish a government here."
Verma's wife echoed this perspective, stating to IANS, "I have voted for PM Modi's double-engine government, trusting his assurances. Just as other states are advancing under his leadership, Delhi, too, requires development. Delhi must evolve into a trustworthy capital and undergo beautification."
After casting her vote, Verma's daughter shared with IANS, "Numerous complaints have emerged from the people of Delhi, particularly from New Delhi. Considering all these issues, we have voted -- addressing concerns from electricity to water."
BJP candidate Kailash Gahlot from the Bijwasan Assembly constituency also participated in the voting process with his wife and daughter.
His wife, Moushumi Mishra Gahlot, expressed to IANS, "People are yearning for change, and I am confident that this time the BJP will form a government."
His daughter, Jahnavi Gahlot, added, "I have campaigned extensively, and I believe there is a significant demand for change in Bijwasan. Much work remains to be done. If my father succeeds, it will certainly be accomplished. Just like he spent the last 10 years in Najafgarh, he will replicate that success here if given the opportunity."
Kailash Gahlot also took to social media, stating, "Voting is not merely your right but also your responsibility. Step out of your homes, vote abundantly, and contribute significantly to building a robust, developed, and accountable government."
"Vote for Delhi, vote for change, vote for a Viksit Bharat," he added.
BJP candidate from Malviya Nagar, Satish Upadhyay, also participated in the voting.
In an interview with IANS, he remarked, "The lotus is blooming everywhere, the 'AAPda' is diminishing, and the BJP is on the rise. Enthusiasm is palpable, and it's all about the lotus. We confidently assert that we will secure all the seats here."
BJP leader Dushyant Kumar Gautam expressed contentment post-voting, stating, "I am very pleased. The public is demanding change and is voting accordingly. The commitments made by Kejriwal, such as providing clean water, cleansing the Yamuna, constructing better roads, and creating beautiful lakes, have gone unfulfilled."
