Bhopal, Feb 8 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, experienced a sacred immersion at the Sangam on Saturday during the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

On this significant occasion, CM Mohan Yadav was joined by his family and Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.

Chief Minister Yadav later expressed that the Maha Kumbh is the supreme pilgrimage of all, and he felt blessed to have taken a holy dip.

He noted that Prayagraj is a cherished hub of faith and devotion for millions of Hindus, explaining why millions visit for a sacred bath.

Following his ritualistic immersion at Sangam, Chief Minister Yadav remarked, "It was delightful to bathe here at Triveni Sangam. I have prayed to Maa Ganga to fulfill the aspirations of our state's citizens, particularly the youth facing employment challenges."

He expressed his sentiments about the spiritual journey with his family on the social media platform X, stating, "Today, I dipped with my wife at Sangam and prayed for the prosperity of the people of Madhya Pradesh. It brought me profound spiritual joy, and I hope this Sangam remains eternal."

Later, Chief Minister Yadav also took part in a religious event - 'Ekatma Dham' in Prayagraj.

He visited the camp of Juna Peethadhishwar Acharya Mahamandaleshwar to seek blessings.

Sangam is where the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers converge in Prayagraj. These three sacred rivers flow from different directions and meet at a specific point known as Sangam.

The Maha Kumbh Mela, held in the historically significant city of Prayagraj, continues its legacy of drawing large numbers of pilgrims from both India and abroad.
