Gurugram, April 23 (NationPress) As part of a significant operation against theft, the police in Gurugram have apprehended three individuals involved in separate theft incidents on Wednesday, according to police reports.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Akash, a resident of Kothi Muradganj village in Auraiya (Uttar Pradesh); Shubham Pandey, from Bharma Bansi village, Siddharth Nagar (Uttar Pradesh); and Harsh, also known as KD, residing in Khandewla, Gurugram.

The Gurugram's Sector-10 Crime branch police team detained Akash at the Sector-17A market in connection with a bike theft reported in the vicinity of the Sector-29 police station.

In another case, a team from the Sector-39 Crime branch captured Shubham Pandey and Harsh near IFFCO Chowk, Gurugram, related to a bike theft incident occurring in the area under the jurisdiction of the Sector-50 police station.

Upon interrogation, the suspects admitted to their involvement in the bike thefts mentioned, with Akash also confessing to another theft incident in Gurugram.

According to a spokesperson from the Gurugram police, Akash has four registered cases against him for robbery, snatching, and theft; Shubham has three theft cases; and Harsh has four cases related to theft and snatching.

The police have retrieved three stolen bikes from the suspects. The investigation into these cases is ongoing, as stated by the police.

In a related development, a crime branch team recently apprehended three individuals accused of extorting victims. They were identified as Amit Bhati, known as Bobby; Lalit; and Karan, all from Bandhwari village in Gurugram.

The arrests occurred near the Red Light T-Point on the Gurugram-Faridabad Road on Monday, as per police statements.
