Mumbai, Feb 8 (NationPress) BJP Mumbai Vice President Hitesh Jain has claimed that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is witnessing the start of its decline after the BJP's significant electoral success. He stressed that the outcomes herald a fresh political era for Delhi, representing a substantial defeat for Arvind Kejriwal's party.

In an interview with IANS, Jain attributed the BJP's success to its strategically crafted campaign, which focused on genuine issues impacting the populace.

“Our senior leadership executed an impactful campaign, addressing the concerns of the citizens, and the outcomes indicate a transition to a new governance paradigm in Delhi,” he remarked.

Further intensifying his critique of the AAP, Jain asserted that the Kejriwal-led administration has not fulfilled its commitments over the last ten years.

“For a decade, the AAP has engaged in empty promises while failing to bring about actual change. Arvind Kejriwal's credibility has been completely diminished. Winning or losing elections is one aspect, but regaining lost credibility is an arduous task,” he stated to IANS.

He further accused Kejriwal of practicing a politics of deceit. “Kejriwal’s entire political approach has been based on making false assertions. However, deception has a limited lifespan -- ultimately, the public will see through it. The citizens of Delhi have responded decisively,” Jain added.

Jain also alleged that the AAP, which once portrayed itself as a champion against corruption, has now become embroiled in corruption allegations.

“The party that vowed to combat corruption is now deeply involved in scandals -- the liquor scandal, the Sheesh Mahal issue -- and instead of being accountable, they continue to deflect blame onto others, even regarding matters like Yamuna pollution. When a government fails to perform or accept accountability, public trust erodes,” he noted.

“This marks the onset of the end for the Aam Aadmi Party,” Jain affirmed.

He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, stating that the populace has faith in his assurances. “The electorate has reaffirmed its trust in PM Modi’s vision, granting him a decisive mandate,” he mentioned.

Jain also criticized the Congress, labeling its electoral performance as the poorest in recent history.

“The Congress approached the elections with a lackluster attitude, fully aware that they had no chances of winning. They appear sporadically during the campaign and then disappear. That’s not how elections are conducted -- one must engage with the electorate and address real issues,” he concluded.
