Bhopal, Feb 24 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over a meeting on Sunday with Madhya Pradesh BJP leaders, which included both MPs and MLAs, at the Kushabhau Thakre auditorium in Bhopal.

This meeting followed the Prime Minister's visit to Bhopal from Bageshwar Dham in Chhatarpur district, where he conducted a 'Bhoomi pujan' for a new cancer hospital.

The Prime Minister was welcomed at the Raja Bhoj airport by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Madhya Pradesh BJP Chief V.D. Sharma.

During the two-hour meeting, PM Modi engaged with Madhya Pradesh BJP leaders and posed some unexpected questions regarding Kushabhau Thakre and progress reports on specific schemes in various constituencies.

Alongside Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and his two deputies, Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda, as well as State BJP Chief V.D. Sharma on stage, Prime Minister Modi also spoke about the Global Investment Summit.

After the meeting, Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla remarked, "A meeting of Madhya Pradesh BJP MPs and MLAs was led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. We received valuable guidance from him during this meeting, and extensive discussions focused on transforming Madhya Pradesh into a developed state."

Prime Minister Modi is set to inaugurate the Global Investment Summit in Bhopal on Monday at the Indira Gandhi Manav Sangrahalay.

On Sunday night, the Prime Minister will spend the night at Bhopal's Raj Bhavan.

Earlier that day, PM Modi received a warm welcome at Raj Bhavan from Governor Mangubhai Patel and CM Mohan Yadav.

Chief Minister Yadav noted, "This marks the first occasion a Prime Minister will spend the night at Raj Bhavan in Bhopal. The first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, visited Raj Bhavan during his time but stayed elsewhere. Therefore, this will be a historic moment for Madhya Pradesh."

Importantly, PM Modi has adapted his schedule by 15 minutes for the GIS inauguration, mindful of the board exams starting in the state on Monday.

Originally, PM Modi was scheduled to depart for the GIS venue at 9:45 a.m. However, considering the annual student examinations, he instructed a rescheduling by 15 minutes, setting the new time at 10 a.m., according to a statement from the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister's office late Sunday.

The statement concluded, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again shown his consideration for students by adjusting the timing of the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal in their best interest."
