This grand three-day celebration is scheduled to occur at the revered pilgrimage site of Pavitra Yatra Dham and Aadya Shaktipeeth Ambaji from February 9 to 11, 2025.
A review meeting, led by District Collector Mihir Patel, took place at the Palanpur Collectorate, Sabhakhan, to ensure that the festival runs smoothly and is well-organized.
Various officials participated in the meeting to discuss the detailed planning necessary for the event. The Shri 51 Shaktipeeth Parikrama Mahotsav-2025 will offer devotees a unique chance to experience the darshan of 51 Shaktipeeths in one location. The festival is anticipated to draw lakhs of devotees from both Gujarat and other regions of the country.
Given the expected influx of pilgrims for the Parikrama (circumambulatory pilgrimage), the administration has initiated extensive preparations to ensure smooth operations and facilities.
During the review meeting, the District Collector evaluated the tasks allocated to various departments and issued key directives. Important topics covered included bus management, cleanliness, water supply, parking arrangements, publicity, and complimentary meal services for devotees.
To facilitate the management of this grand event, several committees have been formed. Mini-buses will transport devotees from the bus parking area to Gabbar.
Moreover, cultural programs are planned for every evening, enhancing the spiritual and cultural essence of the festival. Attendees of the meeting included District Development Officer M.J. Dave, District Superintendent of Police Akshayraj Makwana, Survey Prant Officers, Ambaji Administrator, and Additional Collector Kaushik Modi, along with officials from relevant departments.
Shaktipeeth Parikrama signifies the sacred practice of circumambulating Shaktipeeths, which are esteemed pilgrimage sites dedicated to Goddess Shakti.
Per Hindu mythology, these locations are said to be where portions of goddess Sati’s body descended, making them potent centers of divine feminine energy.
The term combines Shaktipeeth (the sacred seat of Shakti) and Parikrama (devotional circumambulation).
Through this ritual, devotees convey reverence, surrender, and seek divine blessings. The Shaktipeeth Parikrama Mahotsav provides pilgrims the chance to engage in this sacred tradition in one venue, offering a distinctive opportunity to honor the goddess without the need to travel to multiple sites.
