New Delhi, Dec 22 (NationPress) Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya made it clear on Sunday that he holds significant objections to the remarks made by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat regarding some aspiring politicians wishing to be seen as the ‘leader of Hindus’.
In an interview with IANS, Swami Rambhadracharya stated, “I completely disagree with Mohan Bhagwat’s statement. Let me clarify, Mohan Bhagwat is not our disciplinarian; we are.”
Earlier, on Thursday, Mohan Bhagwat expressed apprehension about the revival of temple-mosque disputes, urging individuals to refrain from bringing such matters to the forefront. He emphasized that no one could achieve the status of a “leader of Hindus” by escalating temple-mosque controversies and fostering communal discord.
The spiritual figure also addressed the escalating tensions in Sambhal, labeling the situation as extremely troubling.
“What is transpiring in Sambhal at present is very adverse. Nonetheless, the silver lining is that developments are emerging favorably for Hindus. We will ensure this through the courts, the electoral process, and with public backing,” he remarked.
Swami Rambhadracharya also expressed grave concern over the violence faced by Hindus in Bangladesh, condemning the ongoing atrocities.
“What is occurring there is very unfortunate. We have brought this matter to the attention of the government. The interim administration in Bangladesh is exceedingly oppressive. But stay tuned, those accountable for these actions against Hindus will face repercussions,” he asserted.
Looking forward to the upcoming Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, Swami Rambhadracharya encouraged everyone to engage enthusiastically.
“Everyone is invited to participate. Everyone will have the chance to take a sacred dip. Pray to the Almighty for the unity and integrity of Bharat,” he urged, extending his invitation to devotees nationwide.
The Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 is set to commence on January 13 with the Paush Purnima Snan and will conclude on February 26 with Maha Shivratri. Recognized as one of the most significant festivals in Hinduism or the Sanatan faith, the Maha Kumbh occurs once every 12 years.
