Patna, Feb 4 (NationPress) Two individuals lost their lives and four others sustained injuries in a devastating road mishap in the Jamui district of Bihar on Tuesday.

All injured parties have been taken to the hospital for necessary medical care. The incident occurred when a truck collided with a car.

The victims were on their way back from a Tilak ceremony when they encountered the accident at the Sikandra roundabout in Jamui around 3 a.m.

All six victims traveling in a Scorpio hail from Kunj village under the Roh police station of Nawada district and had attended the ceremony in Arwan village under Kajra police station in Lakhisarai district.

While returning from Arwan village, the group was on Nawada Road when a HIWA truck loaded with sand sped from Jamui to Sheikhpura, crashing into the left side of the Scorpio. The impact was so severe that the vehicle broke through the school gate near Sikandra Chowk and ended up on the school premises.

The deceased have been identified as Arun Singh, aged 62, and Ramakant Singh, aged 66, both from Kunj village in the Roh police station area of Nawada.

The injured include Vipin Singh, aged 50, Virendra Singh, aged 70, Kripa Shankar Gaurav, aged 14, all from Kunj village, along with the Scorpio driver Varun Kumar, aged 35, from Mahuli village in Nawada.

On the previous day, a man and his wife tragically died in a road accident on the outskirts of Patna in the village of Bajitpur under Bakhtiyarpur police station. Their child was severely injured in the incident.

The couple was riding a bike when they collided with an oncoming speeding motorcycle. Their identities remain unknown. Upon receiving news of the incident, police arrived, retrieved the bodies, and sent them for autopsy.

Additionally, two youths on another motorcycle were injured; they have been identified as Naveen Kumar, aged 19, and Ranjit Kumar, aged 20, both from Phulelpur in Patna district.
