Seoul/New Delhi, Feb 4 (NationPress) - On Tuesday, Samsung Electronics announced that its latest Galaxy S25 smartphones achieved a remarkable 1.3 million units sold in pre-orders within South Korea, establishing a new record for its flagship S series.
Pre-orders for the Galaxy S25 series, which was unveiled on Jan. 22, totaled 1.3 million units from Jan. 24 to Feb. 3, surpassing the previous record of 1.21 million set by the last model, as reported by Yonhap news agency.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra emerged as the top choice among consumers, representing 52 percent of all pre-orders, while the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus accounted for 26 percent and 22 percent, respectively.
This new series boasts enhanced on-device artificial intelligence (AI)) with multimodal functionalities and personalized assistance, while maintaining the same pricing structure as the previous series.
The global launch of the Galaxy S25 series is set for Friday.
In India, early deliveries of the Galaxy S25 series smartphones have begun for pre-order customers.
Pre-orders for the Galaxy S25 series opened on January 23. The starting price for the 12GB/256GB variant of the Galaxy S25 is Rs 80,999, while the Galaxy S25+ starts at Rs 99,999 and the Galaxy S25 Ultra at Rs 129,999.
Customers who pre-order the Galaxy S25 Ultra will receive benefits worth Rs 21,000, and those choosing the Galaxy S25+ will enjoy benefits of Rs 12,000. Meanwhile, pre-ordering the Galaxy S25 comes with an upgrade bonus worth Rs 11,000.
