New Delhi, Feb 3 (NationPress) - All-rounder Annabel Sutherland and left-handed opener Travis Head have secured prestigious accolades at the Australian Cricket Awards held in Melbourne, winning the Belinda Clark Award and Allan Border Medal respectively on Monday. Annabel garnered 168 votes, surpassing runner-up Ashleigh Gardner (143) and third-placed Beth Mooney (115) to earn the Belinda Clark Award for the first time.
This remarkable achievement for Annabel follows her recent century in the Women’s Ashes Test victory over England at the MCG.
Throughout the season, Annabel excelled in all formats, contributing to Australia’s undefeated series victories against India, New Zealand, and England. She scored 798 runs at an average of 46.94 and claimed 34 wickets with an average of 20.82.
