Srinagar, April 24 (NationPress) The all party meeting in Jammu and Kashmir held in Srinagar on Thursday adopted a resolution that expresses support for the Union government and acknowledges the commendable efforts of Kashmiris in assisting tourists during challenging times.

“We also endorse the measures initiated by the Union government as announced yesterday,” the resolution states.

Additionally, it honors the heroic sacrifice of Shaheed Syed Adil Hussain Shah, who transported tourists on his horse in Pahalgam and lost his life while attempting to confront a terrorist to protect the visitors.

“His bravery and altruism will always serve as a beacon of inspiration for everyone. He epitomizes the essence of Kashmiriyat and the hospitality of Kashmir. We commend our community for the exceptional moral and material support extended to tourists throughout the Kashmir Valley and for their steadfast unity in denouncing the attack,” the resolution emphasized.

The meeting commenced with a two-minute silence to honor the tourists.

“We remain resolute in our dedication to supporting all actions aimed at bringing these criminals to justice. By doing so, we assert that no act of terror can diminish our determination or extinguish our unyielding spirit,” the resolution concluded.

This meeting was attended by NC President and former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, his cabinet members, Sajad Gani Lone of the Peoples Conference (PC), Yusuf Tarigami of the CPI (M), Mehboob Beg of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), alongside leaders from several other political entities including Ghulam Nabi Azad of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), JK Congress chief Tariq Hameed Karra, and Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari.

Other political parties present included the BJP, JDU, Awami Ittehad Party (AIP), Peoples Democratic Front (PDF), Awami National Conference (ANC), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and National Panthers Party (NPP).

The meeting took place at the SKICC in Srinagar.
