Patna, March 12 (NationPress) In anticipation of Holika Dahan and Holi, Patna's District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh has issued stringent directives aimed at safeguarding public safety, maintaining law and order, and ensuring emergency preparedness.

He has instructed fire brigade officials to position fire engines at designated sites and directed hospitals to allocate medical teams for emergency situations. A sufficient presence of magistrates and police officers will be ensured in public areas to uphold order.

“All sensitive zones within Patna district will be under CCTV & Drone Surveillance. These devices will facilitate real-time monitoring of crowds,” he stated.

Singh encouraged residents to report any incidents through the District Control Room at 0612-2219810 / 2219234, the Dial-112 Emergency Response number, and the District Emergency Operation Centre at 0612-2210118.

The administration has appealed to the public for a peaceful Holi celebration and to promptly report any alarming incidents.

District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh has imposed a complete ban on the operation of private boats in rivers on March 14-15 as a preventive measure during Holi festivities.

He instructed officials to enforce a stringent prohibition on private boats across all rivers, warning that violators would face strict legal consequences.

“We have stationed 7 SDRF teams equipped with divers, personnel & motorboats on the Ganga and Punpun rivers. They will be provided with life jackets and safety equipment at ghats and ponds. Zonal Officers have been instructed to monitor compliance,” Singh added.

Authorities have cautioned individuals against jeopardizing their safety by using private boats.

As Holi approaches, Bihar DGP Vinay Kumar has mandated all district SPs and SSPs to implement rigorous measures to guarantee a safe and peaceful celebration throughout the state.

He has requested the deployment of additional forces in sensitive areas to avert disturbances and has also instructed a flag march.

Furthermore, he has called for peace committee meetings in all districts, bringing together local leaders, public representatives, and community members.

This initiative aims to ensure communal harmony during Jumma Namaz (Friday prayers) and the Holi celebration to prevent any potential tensions. This year, Holi will fall on a Friday.
