He explored a state-of-the-art AI-enabled immersive center that aims to improve evidence-based decision-making for policymakers nationwide.

This center employs advanced technology, enabling officials at various government levels—central, state, district, and block—to analyze data in real-time and make informed policy choices.

The ‘Viksit Bharat Strategy Room’ was inaugurated on March 7, 2024, marking a significant advancement in data-driven governance.

Featuring 27 interactive screens and operated via centrally located touchscreens, the room serves as an engaging platform for data exploration across states, sectors, and government initiatives.

Its AI-driven software, utilizing machine learning and natural language processing, assists policymakers in interpreting complex data swiftly.

The significance of this project was underscored when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the center on July 11, 2024, emphasizing its contribution to India’s vision of Viksit Bharat.

Inspired by the success of VBSR, numerous similar AI-powered experience centers have been launched throughout India.

These include Tagbin BoardRoomAI, a solution aimed at transforming boardroom decision-making through real-time insights and predictive analytics.

“The VBSR is not merely a data center; it signifies a paradigm shift in governance. By amalgamating cutting-edge AI with policymaking, we are empowering leaders to make more informed and impactful decisions for India's development,” stated Saurav Bhaik, a key visionary behind the initiative and CEO of Tagbin.

In Bihar, the Bihar Institute of Public Administration & Rural Development (BIPARD) has established the GenNext Lab, focusing on real-time data collection and advanced analysis for enhanced governance.

Moreover, the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) is in the process of creating an AI strategy room to empower future leaders with real-time data analytics and interactive decision-making tools.

Prior to his visit, Gates commended India's accomplishments in public health, particularly the successful eradication of polio, reflecting on his 2011 visit when the country recorded its last polio case.

“Over the last two decades, the foundation has collaborated with the Indian government, researchers, and entrepreneurs to foster advancements in healthcare, agriculture, and digital transformation,” he noted in a LinkedIn post.

The billionaire philanthropist also reminisced about the longstanding partnership between the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and India.
